An American-born, half-Scottish movement teacher with dual citizenship and a deep passion for helping others feel strong, connected, and clear. Though I now live in Scotland, I was raised in the U.S., with roots that always pulled me toward something deeper. My Scottish side, through my mum, has always felt like this quiet undercurrent in my life... grounding me even when I didn’t know that’s what I needed.
For most of my early life, I didn’t move much. I didn’t know how to take care of my body, and I didn’t yet understand the power of doing so. Struggling with my weight and disconnected from both body and mind, I didn’t see wellness as something meant for me. But I always had a quiet feeling that there was something more, some pull toward movement, purpose, and clarity. That pull became impossible to ignore after I graduated college and finally had time and space to be on my own. I moved downtown to Chicago, got my own place, and for the first time, started listening to myself. The moment I began moving, something clicked. That deep connection I’d always been searching for had been inside me all along.
Since then, I’ve devoted my life to helping others find that same connection: through Reformer Pilates, yoga, meditation, and embodied events that don’t just teach movement, but offer real transformation. I believe you don’t need to be “fit enough” or “ready.”
You just need to start. And when you do, everything begins to shift: your body, your mind, and your sense of what’s possible.
